About Dalaman
The town itself is perfectly located for lots of resort areas (Dalyan, Gocek, Sarigerme). Unlike Fethiye and other lively holiday resorts, Dalaman is still very much a peaceful region. It has unspoilt beaches, ancient ruins and parks such as Caunos, Lycean rock tombs, and the magnificent Sultaniye thermal spas and famed mud baths.
The Golgeli Mountains are in close proximity and are a great chance for people who enjoy trekking. Many lakes occupy the mountains, as well as quaint plateau villages. Two of the mountains in this region are suitable for winter sports; Mount Sandras (2294m) and Mount Eren (2677m). Between December and April, both have good snow cover.

A tunnel connects the towns of Gocek and Dalaman, cutting the journey time to only 5 or 10 minutes drive.
There are two main beaches in the area: one is the protected Iztuzu Beach; the world's 6th most famous beach (famous for the turtle Careta Careta which lay their eggs there), and secondly the blue flagged Sarigerme Beach 15 min away. The area is a sanctuary for sea turtles.
There are many attractions in and around Dalaman such as:
- Sultaniye Thermal Spa - The water (32-42 C) contains chloride, sodium, hydrogen sulphide and bromide
- Trip to Sarsala Cove - The trip is scenic and extremely pleasant.
